Is it worth travelling from Manchester for motorcycle training?
If you want the nearest CBT, probably not. If you are spending over a thousand pounds on a full licence, it is worth choosing on more than distance. This is what we offer:
- Rated 5.0 out of 5 from 417 Google reviews.
- One or two riders per trainer on DAS, and two or three on CBT.
- DAS prices include Module 1 and Module 2 test fees, bike hire and riding kit, including boots if you need them.
- 26 hours of training on the 5-day DAS course and 21 hours on the 4-day.
- Chief Instructor Nic Garner has been riding since 1976 and training riders since 2007, and is a Blue Riband and IAM advanced rider.
How much does a motorcycle licence cost for Manchester riders?
A 4-day DAS course is £1,200 and a 5-day course is £1,350. Book your CBT with it for £125 and the training comes to £1,325 or £1,475 in total. A CBT on its own is £225 with the bike and kit supplied.
On top of that you pay £34 for a provisional licence, if you do not already have one, and £23 for your theory test. You can also pay for DAS in instalments.
How do I get to you from Manchester?
From Manchester, take the M62 west to junction 11 or the A57 through Irlam and Cadishead into Warrington.
Our address is Safety House, Kerfoot Street, Warrington, WA2 8NU. Trainee parking is available on site.
No bike yet? Come by train. Direct trains from Manchester Piccadilly to Warrington Central take about 20 to 30 minutes, and Kerfoot Street is under a mile from the station. The bike and riding kit are supplied, so you can arrive and leave the same way. Check your start time with us before you buy a ticket.
Riding in on L plates? Learners cannot use motorways, so the M62 is out. Take the A57 through Irlam, Cadishead and Woolston instead. The same rule applies at home: the M60, M602 and the Mancunian Way (A57(M)) are all off limits until you pass your full test.
